The MVP Action: Congratulations Squally and Wyland!

Posted by » aerialrose

For those of you who were on last night, we had 10 of our level 60s participate in our guild pvp night in Arathi Basin! There was fast communication, fast response time, and we won 4 out of the 6 games we played together (1 of them which was lost against Queue Up, we still ended up with 1500 pts against them at the end, which is not bad all things considered…and the other one we lost was a *very* close battle, we were neck to neck til the end.) So our 2 losses were close, our victories were sweeping (the last game, we won by over 1000 pts) and most importantly, it was a blast. During this time we grabbed a great new guildie whom we’d like to welcome named Arngrim. Crankygnome, on the other hand, had his *own* little wsg pvp night with unfortunately, tons of lvl 10’s in his group, against many twinked UD rogues :P lol. (Level up faster, Cranky. This goes for those who are still mid 40’s or below–we can’t wait to have so many high quality players finally get together!)

One of the event ideas involved watching out for the MVP PvPer of the night, and after some discussion, we settled on a tie between two players: Squally and Wyland! They both received 20g as reward from SIbank (SIbank btw, is receiving so many items, we’re starting to have to sell the lvl 25 and under greens for space…so in case you’re wondering what it means by the donor “Alliance AH”, well…that would be it.) Congrats again to both players, and to all who attended for doing such a great job. I don’t know about anyone else besides Arkas and I, but we’re definitely ready to start a set pvp night every week revolving around the BG holiday. More discussion on this poll in the forum pvp thread.

Image Gallery now live

Posted by » Arkas

I am happy to report our Image Gallery is now fully functional and accepting uploads. To upload a screenshot you must first log into the front page of sanctusimperium.com using the Control Panel link at the bottom right. Once logged in view the Gallery and pick an album then select Add Item to choose the screenshot(s) you wish to upload. Note that the default WoW screenshot format of TGA is not supported. A good, free image converter called Irfan is available at this link. You can use this to convert your TGA screenshots to JPG which is supported by the Gallery.

New forums incoming! New guild bank and vent server

Posted by » aerialrose

New Announcement! What you can look forward to…
The following forums will be uploaded and more detail on each category will be presented by the officers within the next several days:

* PvE Discussion
* Class Forums
* EQDKP link
* Monthly guild meetings (this one will include the event we will do afterwards as a guild, whether it be a guild dueling tournament, underwater attack on the horde village Shadowprey, the chest event in STV, or a scavenger hunt! All creative ideas on our monthly guild event are welcome to discuss and will be voted upon in this forum)

Also, the guild bank alt (SIbank) will be available for donating to, with each current item updated automatically on our site for viewing. We will be keeping a list of who donated which item(s). Money in the guild bank will be used for guild events/purchases (for i.e.–purchasing greater fire resist pots for raid instancing), and not for loan. The purpose of the guild bank is to provide storage for BoE or profs items that members would like to donate. Donations are not required but are appreciated. Those with a legitimate need upgrade (initiate members are not eligible to apply) may send an ingame mail to SIbank describing why they would like the item and what they intend to use it for. Further integration down the road will involve purchasing the higher end items using their available DKP. The items will cost anywhere from 2-10 DKP. Green items (or any items below lvl 50)will not cost DKP, and will be awarded with discretion, assuming that you both need the item, and are within 5 levels of the item range. Note: as of now, all items are free until we start earning DKP through ZG/MC/BWL raids. These DKP numbers may slightly change as we finalize our DKP system.

We will be purchasing a 50 man vent server next week (if anyone would like to help donate towards the cost of our server, please contact Mithos in game.) All members will be required to download the Ventrilo Client which is available for both mac and windows users. If you do not have a microphone, don’t sweat it…all we really need is for you to be able to listen.

More updates later!

Update your character info on the Roster

Posted by » Arkas

We have a new roster page that updates automatically from data it gathers in game. Pretty cool stuff. If you would like your character on the roster to be clickable and show off your quests, items, tradeskills, reputation and more then you can do it! Here’s how - first click the Roster link on the right hand panel and scroll to the bottom. You will see some instructions for downloading the CharacterPofiler UI mod and having it update your data. Follow these steps and you can upload your unique character data to the roster. If you want to go a step further, after installing the Character Profiler UI mod, you can download a program called UniUploader which updates your character info automatically! This is what I use currently and it’s very convenient once you have everything setup. Here’s a guide on setting up UniUploader (note you must still install the CharacterProfiler UI mod first.) Here is the download location for both CharacterProfiler and UniUploader.
